Shaws Bridge
Located along South Creek Road between Rt. 842 and Lenape Road (Rt. 52/100) was named after the creek crossing located at the north end of the park. The park consists of walking trails, bird watching areas, picnic areas, open field areas for games and kite flying, and access to the Brandywine River for fishing and canoeing. The east and west branches of the Brandywine Creek converge at the park and become the Brandywine River at this point. You can park up stream at the Harry J. Waite Jr. Nature Area and canoe down the east branch to Shaw’s Bridge Park for a short canoe trip. Restroom facilities are available.
